Recycled wool is created from existing wool and has been used in European textiles for hundreds of years. 
It is made from both pre-consumer sources, such as factory scraps, and post-consumer ones, such as returned garments. 

Recycled wool process starts out by collecting discarded wool, and it is then sorted by color. The fibers are then mechanically shredded to be respun into new yarn, making you new clothing!

Recycled wool’s sustainable production requires low resources and energy to produce and contributes to low CO2 emissions. 

Recycled wool is of similar quality as virgin wool, and exhibits the same properties. The material is insulating, breathable, and wrinkle-resistant, perfect for keeping you warm and cozy on cold winter days.

Upcycling, also known as creative reuse, is the process of transforming by-products, waste materials, useless, or unwanted products into new materials or products of better quality and environmental value. 

Upcycling artists are inspired by the textile waste they see, which is almost an unlimited resource at this point. They create with the intention to use what is already here. This process is important in the circular fashion movement, because it makes use of discarded textiles, giving these materials second lives. 

Because discarded textiles are not typically sheets of fabric, but rather articles of discarded clothing, a lot of creativity is required to transform materials into new fashionable pieces. This challenge is exciting for upcycling artists, as they are driven and inspired to create with what is in front of them and often don’t have much to lose in the process, since discarded materials are readily available and cheap. Because of this, upcycled clothing is often unique as each piece has been thoughtfully crafted into a new garment.

This product is made by creatively upcycling materials that would otherwise go to waste. This makes better use of resources like deadstock fabrics: leftovers from big production that are saved by re-using them.

Recycled cashmere is made from discarded  cashmere material. Cashmere is a natural protein fiber that comes from the Cashmere goat. 

Recycled cashmere is made from either post-industrial or post-consumer cashmere. Post-industrial waste comes from waste that is leftover from manufacturing industries. Post consumer waste is material discarded after someone uses it. Both take no additional resources or energy to create, because they already exist! This gives waste a new purpose, keeping material in the loop for longer, and contributing to circular fashion. The process starts with painstakingly sorting through discarded cashmere fibers, then shredding the fibers, and re-spinning them to become a wonderfully soft sweater or other wardrobe favourites!

Recycled Cashmere is also very durable and resilient, meaning it can last ages in your closet, unless the moths get to it! It is also incredibly warm and cozy, as it is 8x warmer than sheep wool and notoriously soft.
